If you live in the Toronto area, then you’re no doubt familiar with the popular fast-food chain, Pizza Pizza. They’ve been serving ready-to-eat pizzas and slices since the late-1960s and have over 750 locations in Canada! If you’ve recently seen ads for Chicken Chicken, you may be wondering, “Is Chicken Chicken the same as Pizza Pizza, or are they different companies?”
Chicken Chicken is a sub-brand owned by Pizza Pizza. Chicken Chicken is the name of the franchise’s line of chicken wings and sauces and is sold in their Pizza Pizza locations. The main reason for the separate branding is for marketing purposes to help make the restaurant easier to find for chicken-wing lovers.
If you’ve never tried Pizza Pizza’s wings, then you’re probably wondering just how well they compare to some of the other wings on the market. As it stands, I’ve ordered their wings on several occasions, and they’ve been quite delicious (for fast-food wings, at least). Below, I’ll do my best to answer some of the most commonly asked questions about Chicken Chicken wings, so you can decide whether or not they’re worth your time.
Chicken Chicken: Are They As Good As Pizza Pizza?
When you think of game day food or party food, the first foods that come to most peoples’ minds are pizza and chicken wings. Both foods are easy to share, available in tons of flavors, and are hard not to love.
It’s become a trend for restaurants to offer new foods in an effort to cater to an ever-expanding market (just look at Panera’s new flatbread pizzas). As a result, many popular pizza chains like Pizza Pizza have started offering wings as an important part of their menu, to attract more customers.
Recently, I wrote a post on the cost of Domino’s pizza. In addition to pizza, though, they also happen to have some of the best fast-food wings that I’ve ever had in America. Pizza Pizza is a similar restaurant but is only found in Canada.
Why Chicken Chicken?
You may be wondering why they created a whole separate brand for their chicken wings… The main reason is that it makes the restaurant easier to find and more accessible for people who want chicken wings.
Most people wouldn’t see Pizza Pizza and automatically assume that they sell chicken. By adding Chicken Chicken to their signs, Uber Eats menu, and advertising, it ensures that everybody knows to come to the pizza chain for their chicken needs as well.
How Much Is Chicken Chicken Delivery?
Chicken Chicken delivery costs are the same as what you’d expect to pay for Pizza Pizza delivery. On average, most Pizza Pizza/Chicken Chicken locations charge around $5 CAD for their delivery fee. Additionally, customers are also encouraged to tip their delivery drivers. This goes to help cover the drivers’ fuel and insurance costs.
What Types of Wings and Sauces Are Available?
Chicken Chicken has almost every type of wings and wing sauce that you could think of. For their chicken wing options, you’ll be able to choose between the following:
- Classic-style wings.
- Breaded wings.
- Boneless wings.
- Gluten-free boneless wings (with gluten-free breading).
- Popcorn chicken bites.
As far as sauces go, you’ll be able to choose between:
- Blue cheese dressing.

Is Chicken Chicken Expensive?
The best place that I can compare Chicken Chicken to is Little Caesars (see my full review here). Both offer cheap, ready-to-eat options, a variety of meal options, and sell both pizza and chicken wings. At the end of the day, if you’re looking for an affordable family dinner, a quick snack, or you just need to supply food for a party, Chicken Chicken offers great-tasting chicken options to go alongside your pizza.
Are Chicken Chicken Wings Low-Carb?
Recently, I wrote a post about one of my favorite cauliflower crust pizzas, which is a great way to satisfy your cravings, even if you’re on a low-carb diet. If you’re on a low-carb diet, then Chicken Chicken has you covered.
Although many of their wings are breaded (high carbs), their classic-style wings are not. So, as long as you get your classic wings with a carb-free sauce (or without sauce), then you won’t have to worry about breaking your keto diet and losing track of your progress.
Final Thoughts
Does Chicken Chicken have the best wings that I’ve ever had? Probably not. In my experience, the wings are a bit smaller than I prefer and some of the sauces are overly salty. That being said, though, they are decent. If you’re looking to purchase a large order of wings for a party or other event, then you can’t beat Chicken Chicken by Pizza Pizza prices!
