One of the things that I really like about Domino’s is that they offer tons of deals. They always mail me a monthly coupon book that’s loaded with deals for $5 pizzas, buy-one-get-one-free deals, free 2-liter soda deals, and more!
I definitely recommend checking their deals/coupons before you order, as you’ll probably end up saving a nice chunk of change.
How Does Domino’s Pizza Taste?
As you may have surmised from my post on Little Caesar’s Pizza, there’s more to pizza than the cost. They sell $5 large-sized pizzas all day long but have some of the worst pies I’ve ever had.
That being said, Domino’s does offer their small 10-inch cheese pizzas for $6, which is a pretty decent deal. Honestly, Domino’s blows Little Caesar’s out of the water. Everything from the quality of cheese and the toppings to the large, thick crust is enough to make my mouth water.
Seeing as I just ate a Domino’s pizza the other night, I figured that now would be the perfect time to go over the taste.
Crust
I got the regular hand-tossed pizza, which had a pretty good crust. It was thick, and soft on the inside, but nice and crispy on the outside. I saved all of the crusts to dip with my garlic sauce like breadsticks. For those interested, Domino’s also offers thin crust and Brooklyn-style (extra crispy) crusts. Additionally, if you’re a fan of the deep pan options, you’ll be delighted that they also have a deep pan crust on their menu. If you’re looking for a gluten-free option, Domino’s doesn’t disappoint there, either. However, the gluten-free option isn’t always available in all sizes.
Sauce
The sauce is pretty good, too! It was thick and chunky and had a nice bit of flavor. It wasn’t quite as good as my own homemade sauce, but considering that it’s a pizza chain, I didn’t have any complaints. Most of their pizzas come with the Robust Inspired pizza sauce. It’s a thick marinara sauce, with a zesty flavor coming from special spices and some garlic. You can also choose the less spicy option, their Hearty Marinara sauce.
Cheese
Like most pizzerias, Domino’s uses mozzarella for all of their pizzas. I’m not sure exactly what brand of cheese they use, but it’s some of the best I’ve had on a cheap delivery pizza. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they used a higher-end brand like Galbani mozzarella. They also have a variety of different cheeses on some of their pizzas. For instance, the Wisconsin 6 Cheese pizza doesn’t only come with mozzarella, but instead also has cheddar, Parmesan, feta, provolone, and Asiago – all baked to perfect melty slices.
Toppings
I got a small Hawaiian pizza (don’t even start with the Hawaiian pizza jokes) and a small pepperoni pizza. Both pizzas had fresh toppings and layered them on with a perfect spread. My only complaint was that the pepperoni was a bit overly salted. Their most popular toppings include sausage, bacon, mushrooms, onions, black olives, and green peppers. They also offer pizzas with pineapple, spinach, and anchovies, and you can ask for extra cheese on any order, too.
What Other Foods Does Domino’s Sell?
Following in the footsteps of other large pizza chains like Canada’s Pizza Pizza, Domino’s also sells a range of other delicious delivery meals, such as:

- And various kinds of bread and oven-baked dips.

If you’re looking for delivery pizza that’s both affordable and also tastes great, then you can’t go wrong with Domino’s.
