Pizza Hut is one of the largest pizza chains in the world and can be found in almost every country where pizza is a big deal. I definitely ordered my fair share of large cheese-filled-crust pepperoni pizzas when I was in college (and I still do, for that matter). So, how much is Pizza Hut’s pizza?
Pizza Hut typically charges $5 for a small personal pan pizza, $12 for a medium pizza, and $15 for a large pizza. These are just the prices for a plain cheese pizza. However, if you want to add extra cheese, additional toppings, or the famous cheese-stuffed crust, expect to pay a few dollars extra.
The other day, I was visiting a friend of mine and we ended up ordering a bunch of Pizza Hut for a small get-together we threw. So, I figured that it was the perfect time to write a small overview of Pizza Hut’s costs and the quality of their pizza. Here’s what to expect!
How Much Is a Pizza Hut Pizza?
Pizza Hut is primarily a delivery joint, but most of their locations also feature a small dining area for those who want to dine in. Overall, their prices are quite competitive. Although they’re a little bit more expensive than Domino’s Pizza, they use high-quality ingredients and offer some unique pizza options that you won’t find elsewhere.
If you’re looking for a full menu, your best bet is to visit the actual Pizza Hut site. However, to make your life easier, I decided to include a brief menu with some of their top-selling pizzas below. Check it out!

However, you’ll always be given the option to add extra cheese, extra meat, extra sauce, or any other toppings that you like. You may have to pay a couple of dollars extra, but it won’t break the bank!

Are Pizza Hut Ingredients Fresh?
For the most part, Pizza Hut uses fresh ingredients. Most of the vegetable toppings are pre-cut, but otherwise fresh and never frozen. The same goes for the mozzarella cheese, the meats, and the pepperoni they use.
The only exception to this rule is their dough. Pizza Hut’s dough is delivered to each store frozen and separated by wax paper. While this ensures that the store loses less product and doesn’t waste any dough, a distinguished set of taste buds can easily tell the difference between frozen and non-frozen dough.
How Does Pizza Hut Pizza Taste?
Now, for the part, you’re probably the most interested in the flavor of Pizza Hut’s pizza. To be 100% honest, I don’t like Pizza Hut quite as much as Domino’s or some of the other artisan-style pizzas I ate on my last trip to Asheville.
For the most part, though, Pizza Hut is pretty decent! I especially love their cheese-stuffed crusts, which no other pizza joint seems to offer. If you’re a cheese fanatic like myself, then you’ll definitely want to try one next time you’re ordering out.
As I mentioned above, the one thing that I don’t like about Pizza Hut is that they freeze their crusts. That being said, they still taste a lot better than the soggy crusts from Little Caesar’s. The cheese crusts are, of course, excellent. I’ve also had their thin-crust pizzas a couple of times before, and they taste nice and crispy!
Pizza Hut’s sauce is pretty similar to what I’ve had at Papa John’s and Domino’s. I’m not entirely sure, but I think they all use the same basic tomato sauce recipe that’s delivered in large cans. Overall, it’s pretty decent and has a nice consistency and flavor.
Pizza Hut uses some amazing mozzarella cheese! Plus, I’ve found that even their regular pizzas typically have more cheese than you’ll get from other popular pizza chains.
The toppings that Pizza Hut uses are all freshly cut and prepared. I had a supreme pizza there last week and the veggies were all super fresh and crunchy! They also have some of the best pepperonis I’ve ever had. If you’re up for more calories that leave you feeling full for hours, you should try the Meat Lover’s Pizza. It comes piled up with some serious delight – in fact, it’s loaded with six different kinds of meat. Besides the pepperoni, it’s also layered with seasoned pork, ham, bacon, sausage, and seasoned beef.
There is also the new Primo Meat variation – with pepperoni Italian sausage, salami, and seasoned pork. The BBQ Lover’s is for those who want to taste the grill on their pizza slices. To achieve this particular flavor they’ve added just the right amount of barbecue sauce on top, along with the roast ham, smoked bacon, and seasoned pork. It comes with toasted cheddar on top.
Veggie lovers can choose between the Garden Party and Misha Collins Mizzapocalypse. The first is a pizza with Roma tomatoes, fresh spinach, green peppers, and red onions, with a drizzle of some balsamic vinegar. The other is also called Pizza Hut’s flavor pioneer because it’s packed with green bell peppers, Peruvian cherry peppers, mushrooms, and classic marinara sauce, with some balsamic vinegar on top.
Does Pizza Hut Sell Other Types Of Food?
Just like Domino’s, Pizza Hut also sells a number of other good eats, including:
- Chicken wings and poppers.
- Desserts (brownies and cookies).
- Pasta dishes.
- Cheesesticks and breadsticks.
- French fries.
If you’re looking for somewhere to order some pizza for your next big party, then Pizza Hut won’t disappoint you. Now that you know how much is a Pizza Hut pizza, keep in mind that their pizza tastes great and comes at a friendly price. I’d recommend getting a few of the cheese-stuffed crust pizzas, an order of the breadsticks, and maybe even a side of wings. Also, if you like dipping sauces, don’t forget a few sides of garlic sauce!
